Princess visits the North

The Princess travelled by air from Don Mueng Airport in Bangkok to Wing 41 Airport in Chiang Mai on the morning of June 21.
There, the Princess was greeted by Deputy Chiang Mai Governor Worakarn Yokying, diplomats, civil servants, judges, military, police, students and the general public.
The Princess went to Mae Jo University in San Sai district where she was presented with an honorary Doctorate Degree in Science (Geosocial Based Sustainable Development).
She then visited a Lanna cultural and agricultural fair to view traditional rice farming and the ways of the Lanna people. She also visited royallyinitiated projects at the university.
On June 22, the Princess presided over the opening and naming ceremony of the “Preecha Chote” building at the Northern School for the Blind in Chiang Mai.
She then attended a ceremony at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel in Chiang Mai and presented plaques and medals honouring those who donate blood at the numerous provincial Red Cross chapters.
Before returning to Bangkok, the Princess also visited the Border Patrol Police School in Ormkoi district which is located about 100km south of Chiang Mai city.
